Sticks and stones
will break my bones,
but words
​will never hurt me.

You've probably heard or even said that little phrase many times. It is a good way to focus on trying to ignore hurtful comments, but it's a complete lie! I'm sure you can clearly recall hurtful things said to you in your past and you probably suffered more severely and longer than you would have from a broken bone.​

This Sunday, June 12th, we'll be continuing in our series on the book of James. As we begin chapter 3, we're reminded that even Jesus-followers are guilty of allowing our tongues to destroy others.  What can be done? I hope you'll be able to join us.
