One of the things that can make or break a job is your co-workers. I've experienced both the good and bad of work shift scheduling and the people who were working alongside me. In college I worked in the cafeteria and I remember having a lot of fun doing the most miserable jobs in the dish room simply because of who was scraping plates next to me. I also remember doing some pretty pleasant jobs that became difficult because of a difficult person. What we're called to do as followers of Jesus is to shift our attitude and actions in a positive way no matter how other people are responding to us. This Sunday, September 20th, we'll be talking about the shifts we need to make in how we relate to other people. I hope you'll be able to join us. Paradosi Ballet CompanyOn Sunday, September 27th, our church is sponsoring two performances at the Merc Playhouse by this Christians Ballet Company from Tacoma. Their worship show "Forever" consists of beautiful dance interpreting contemporary worship music. You can pick up tickets at church this Sunday or from the church office during week days. The suggested donation amount is $10 each, but we want everyone to be able to go, so simply make a donation for whatever you can afford. All proceeds will be donated to Paradosi to further their ministry. And please invite and/or bring your friends and neighbors to one of the performances! Explore Church MembershipHave you wondered what the Evangelical Covenant Church denomination is all about? Have you wondered about how Community Covenant came into being? Have you thought about becoming a member of CCC, but weren't sure what that means? Pastor Jeff and Tami would like to invite you to their home for three Monday evenings from 7:00 - 8:30 pm (October 12, 19, and 26) for the answers to these questions and maybe a few more. Being a part of this Membership Class does not require you to become a member, but it is a prerequisite. Please contact Pastor Jeff with any questions and to let him know of your interest. |
