Judging a Book by it's Cover...

I came across this picture of a group of books today. I didn't think much of it until I saw the same row of books from a slightly different angle. 

As Maxwell Smart would have said, "It's the old 'fake book spines hiding a box' trick!"

​People use these kinds of things to hide their valuables from would-be thieves and I can imagine that it works fairly well.

As the old adage goes, "don't judge a book by its cover". For most of us, that's a difficult thing to do. We naturally pass quick judgements on things and people based on appearances. It's a shortcut way of negotiating our world. But it shouldn't impact how we treat others.
