One summer when I was in college I worked for a small business that assembled computer cables. Each day I'd get my assignment of what type of cables I was supposed to make - how long, what type of connector, etc. Then my day primarily consisted of inserting wires into metal connectors and then passing them on to someone who tested it to see if I had put each colored wire into the appropriate slot. Although i occasionally got to cut lengths of cable or put metal tips on the wires, it was pretty much the same job every day... day after day... week after week...
We can't always avoid the mundane tasks that are a part of making a living or running a household. But does that mean that we're doomed to depression and a poor attitude in the midst of the daily grind? This Sunday, January 13th, we're continuing in our series "SELF-less".
